- Job details:
a) Vehicle management and transportation coordination:
- Plan and arrange container trucks to transport goods from the company to customers or to warehouses.
- Create and maintain records for the company's motor vehicles.
- Monitor vehicle schedules, routes, toll fees, and control delivery times.
- Handling unforeseen situations such as traffic jams, vehicle breakdowns, product defects, repairs, and maintenance.
- Be flexible in handling problems when they arise.
- Handling accidents and accident scenes.
- Work with the insurance company after the accident and negotiate with third parties (if any).
b) Driver management:
- Assign drivers appropriately according to routes and shifts.
- Hand over and store records and documents related to the vehicle.
- Assisting the HR department in recruiting drivers.
- Checking work ethics, attitude, blood alcohol level, compliance with regulations, and traffic safety.
- Timely update relevant legal documents from the Ministry of Transport. Organize regular meetings to disseminate new regulations on transport and container operation.
c) Technical supervision and vehicle maintenance:
- Coordinate with technicians to maintain and repair tractor-trailers and trailers.
- Regularly inspect the condition of the vehicle, tires, containers, fuel, etc.
- Provide timely updates on the status of vehicles and report when necessary.
- Check and assist drivers in completing payment paperwork when additional expenses arise.
- Manage vehicle registration, insurance, driver's license, and vehicle permit records in accordance with current laws and regulations.
d) Reporting and operational improvements:
- Compile data on vehicle operation, output, fuel consumption, operating costs, and calculate driver's wages and expenses.
- Advise the Board of Directors on methods for managing transportation vehicles and software to support efficient management.
- Analyze performance indicators to propose improvements to transportation operations.
- Submit weekly/monthly/quarterly reports to superiors.
- Job requirements:
- Graduated from vocational school or higher, preferably in the following majors: Transportation, Logistics, Automotive Engineering.
- At least 23 years of experience in the container shipping industry.
- Thorough understanding of container truck operations, port procedures, customs regulations, and road traffic laws.
- Proficient in using GPS tracking software, Excel, and Word.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have previously worked as container truck drivers and have a thorough understanding of routes, ports, and loading/unloading procedures.
- Priority will be given to those with a B2 or higher driver's license.
- Skills in coordination, problem-solving, and working under high pressure.
