Perform the following tasks at the beginning of the shift:
Change uniform, ensure personal hygiene standards and behavior according to regulations before each shift.
Clean eating utensils: bowls, plates, spoons, glasses, etc., ensuring hygiene standards according to restaurant regulations.
Set up dining tables and banquet tables according to the restaurant's service style with all necessary tools and decorations.
Perform customer service procedures:
Receive guests from the restaurant's Hostess.
Present menu for customers to choose food and drinks. Advise customers on choosing suitable food and drinks when requested.
Record order information from customers, confirm with customers the exact name of food and drink, quantity, special requests...
Transfer orders to cashier, kitchen, bar.
Serve food and drinks according to customer orders, ensuring correct table and correct order.
Perform wine pouring – refilling, adding sauces, taking additional orders…
Ready to respond to customers' legitimate requests and enthusiastically answer customers' questions when asked.
Ready to assist customers in handling any problems that may arise during their meal: customers spilling drinks, breaking food plates, etc.
Perform payment procedures for guests according to restaurant standards.
See guests off, say goodbye to guests - clear the table, set up a new table to prepare to serve the next guest.
Room service:
Receive Room service information from the department's Order Taker.
Set up the cart to serve customers according to their orders.
Prepare wine/receive drinks from the bar, receive food from the kitchen.
Receive payment bill from cashier and double check information is correct.
Move the service cart to the guest room and perform Room service steps in the guest room.
Control and maintain tools and equipment:
Timely replenish and ensure the area for placing utensils for guests' meals is fully equipped: plates, cups, spoons, forks, knives, glasses, decanters, etc.
Carefully preserve tools and equipment, report to management if any chipping, damage, or shortage is detected...
Perform end of shift tasks:
Shift monitoring reports, Managing issues that occur during the shift.
If working the morning shift, at the end of the shift, hand over the work to the next shift.
If working the night shift, perform end of shift cleaning.
Other jobs:
Support other Waiters/Waitresses in serving customers when the restaurant is crowded, handle incidents that arise in the restaurant - report to superiors about incidents that are beyond the ability and authority to handle.
Coordinate the implementation of restaurant marketing programs.
Participate fully in department meetings, report feedback received from guests.
Enthusiastically participate in professional training courses when facilitated by the hotel or restaurant.
Perform other duties as required by superiors.
