Position Overview
As a Senior Game Developer, you'll be the
guardian of the creative engineer behind our games.We might be small, but our dreams are big, and we need someone as passionate as us to turn those dreams into reality. If you're not afraid to roll up your sleeves, laugh at bad puns, and show off your love for games, we want you!
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement game mechanics, systems and features for mobile games.
- Spearhead the design and creation of advanced game features and systems, taking full responsibility for key components of the project.
- Establish and uphold coding standards and best practices to maintain consistency and high quality across the codebase
- Lead and engage in code reviews, offering constructive feedback to team members and ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
- Work closely with artists, game designers and project stakeholders to craft seamless and engaging gameplay experiences.
- Tackle and resolve technical challenges to ensure smooth, enjoyable gameplay and top-notch performance.
- Provide mentorship and support to junior developers, fostering their professional growth
- Regularly test and debug to ensure our games perform at the highest quality.
- Assign tasks and serve as the go-to expert for resolving complex technical issues, facilitating smooth and effective project advancement.
- Be versatile in your technical style, adapting to various game genres and themes.
Requirements
- Proficient in spoken and written English; fluency is not mandatory but clarity is crucial.
- Proven experience in game development with a strong portfolio of commercially released projects.
- Demonstrated 1-3 years of experience in a Senior Game Developer role.
- Experience working in a mobile games industry is required.
- Extensive experience with Unity game engine and C#.
- Strong technical skills, with the ability to conceptualise and code unique game ideas to life.
- Strong programming skills with a deep understanding of game animation and UI design.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and remote team environment.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A deep passion for gaming and a strong desire to create fun and engaging experiences for players.
