KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Negotiation & Supplier Management:
- Work constantly with suppliers to negotiate contracts / trading term based on defined target. Validate the costing based on margin target & market survey
- Collaborate with suppliers to get good prices, promotion for Stores & to extend the range of products following the company strategy, with help of the buyer officer and/ or purchasing dept manager
Category & Stock Management:
- Analyze quarterly sale performance, the performance indicators and the market evolution and margin of your portfolio by category & by supplier with action plan.
- Check weekly stock level report from procurement team of the warehouses and apply action plan like to place urgent order or to push allocation if needed, with validation of buyer officer and/or purchasing dept manager
- Make sure the allocation of short shelf life policy is applied by procurement, and check weekly shelf life of items at the warehouse to avoid lost and or apply action plan. Suggest marketing support to boost sale or cancel & replace slow sale items
Forecast & Purchase order:
- Monitor the replenishment plan and orders planning by supplier based on monthly updated forecast with the procurement and freight team
- Establish forecast analysis to have the best stock detention according the sales of stores. Follow up with procurement the payment of orders from Accounting dept to the suppliers.
- Coordinate with suppliers & logistic department to optimize the transport / freight cost & to get the better prices and products on time at Stores
Sourcing:
- Find new products / new suppliers according to the company’s needs
- Based on analysis of the market & comparison with current range of products in Stores, make selection & negotiate good price & good trading terms
- Coordinate with Visa team to get needed documents before buying the products and coordinate with marketing & operation team for the launching in Stores
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor Degree with the major of Import-Export, International Business, Business Administration, Foreign Trade, etc.
- Having over 3 years experienced in purchasing for food retail/ F&B industry
- Good communication in Vietnamese & English, French is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Good analytical mind and organizational skills
- Skilled at negotiating, mature and passion in food retail
