Job Description
The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a chapter of front-end developers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable web applications. You will play a pivotal role in setting the direction for front-end development practices, mentoring team members, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and excellence in web development.
- Lead and mentor a chapter of front-end developers, providing guidance, coaching, and support to help them grow and excel in their roles
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the chapter.
- Manage the front-end chapter's resources, including workload distribution, skill development, and performance evaluations.
- Work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and back-end developers to ensure seamless integration and delivery of web applications.
- Participate in project planning, estimation, and prioritization to align front-end development with business goals.
- Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers.
- Drive the adoption of new front-end technologies, frameworks, and tools to enhance development efficiency and product quality.
- Lead initiatives to improve the performance, accessibility, and security of web applications.
- Translate designs and style provided guides by the UI/UX team into high-performance functional user interfaces.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting new and emerging front-end technologies.
Candidate requirements
- At least 4-year experience skilled at front-end/full-stack engineering using JavaScript.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Used to lead a team >= 5 members.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
- Understanding understanding of ReactJS & Webpack/Rollup and its core principles
- Experience with popular React.js workflows (Redux).
- Familiarity with newer specifications of EcmaScript.
- Experience with data structure libraries (eg, Immutable.js).
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs.
