Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our growing Data & AI team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in setting up our Data Platform from the ground up, leveraging cloud infrastructure and modern data engineering practices. You will report directly to the Head of Data and AI and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate directly with the Head of Data Management and Analytics to design and build a new, state-of-the-art data platform to manage all data needs of the company, including ingestion, storage, transformation, and analytics capabilities.
- Design, develop, and implement scalable and efficient data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
- Establish and maintain cloud-based data infrastructure (preferably Azure or AWS).
- Collaborate with VinFast and other Vingroup subsidiaries to integrate and manage data sources, including vehicle telemetry and marketplace data.
- Ensure data quality, security, and governance align with industry standards and FGF's vision.
- Serve as a technical expert in deploying DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.
- Contribute to solution architecture to support analytical and AI-driven applications.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers as the team grows.
Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields.
- Expertise in cloud platforms like Azure or AWS, including architecture design and implementation.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and DevOps tools for CI/CD pipelines.
- Solid understanding of modern data engineering principles and tools, including data lakes, ETL/ELT frameworks, and distributed systems.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality solutions.
Preferred:
- Experience in the automotive or EV industry is a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and lean management principles.
- Knowledge of solution architecture and AI/ML pipelines.
