    Job Description

    Customs clearance and inland handling services supervision:

    • Comply with regulations, receive and check instructions, information and documents required to carry out customs declarations.
    • Determine and apply tariff codes, if permitted, based on customs regulations and procedures for calculating duties and fees (customs payments).
    • Confirm the necessary documents for proper customs clearance.
    • Enter and submit declarations in internal systems and/or customs systems.
    • Provide all necessary information to customs authorities: act as an intermediary between the company and customs authorities.
    • In case of inspection or physical examination of goods, provide the necessary documents and declaration to the customs officer.
    • If necessary, attend a physical inspection conducted by customs authorities.
    • Advice on the implementation of customs compliance rules, especially free trade agreements (FTAs).
    • Check and advise on costs, quote if requested.
    • Monitor shipments for which CEVA performs customs clearance and inland handling services.
    • Follow up on tasks assigned by management.

    Advice on internal and external regulations and customs procedures:

    • Provide recommendations and advice on our views and/or decisions regarding procedures and customs in international shipping to customers or internal staff.
    • In the event that the client rejects our proposed position regarding the customs tariff code, the rejection is noted and the client's decision is final.
    • Play a supporting role in implementing new regulations.
    • Assist sales department in customs related matters as they evaluate potential and visit customers.

    QHSE:

    • Strictly comply with QHSE standards and internal warehouse regulations within the scope of responsibility.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements.
