Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:
The Merchandising Staff supports the Merchandising Manager in executing category strategies to achieve sales, margin, and profitability targets. The role manages product assortments, vendor relations, pricing, promotions, and inventory performance in alignment with corporate strategy and company policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for assigned merchandising categories.
  • Primary focus on Liquor&Tobacco.
  • Scope may expand to other categories based on business needs, including Beauty – Cosmetics and Fragrances; Local Destinations – Food/Candy, Souvenirs, and Ready-to-Wear; Boutiques; Fashion (brand specific)
  • Manage assigned category/department product assortments using market trend analysis, while monitoring sales performance, margins, and product mix.
  • Develop and grow private label and exclusive product strategies to maximize profit margins and return on investment (ROI).
  • Ensure proper execution of luxury brand merchandising strategies, working closely with the Korea corporate team to ensure alignment and effective implementation.
  • Act as a business partner to the Store Operations team and other departments to drive overall category/department profitability.
  • Category-specific sales planning and forecasting, including Open-to-Buy (OTB).
  • Category inventory management.
  • Gross margin and gross margin dollar planning, including seasonal clearance and exit strategies for underperforming brands.
  • Product mix management.
  • Promotional planning.
  • Vendor relations and contract negotiation support.
  • Supply chain regulations.
  • Cross-functional coordination with Store and Support teams (HR, Logistics, Marketing, Finance).
  • Compliance with company policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
  • Adherence to Vietnam Customs rules and regulations.
  • Maintain SKU and product data accuracy.
  • Prepare and analyze merchandising and sales reports.
  • Support special projects and other assigned duties.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Candidates without a Bachelor's degree may be considered with at least 3 years of directly related merchandising or buying experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of merchandising experience, including direct buying experience.
  • Proficient in using computers, standard office equipment, and SKU/database management systems.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
