JOB SUMMARY:
Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons for extra-curricular ESL programs, such as Cambridge Exam Preparation (Starters, Movers, Flyers), Phonics for young learners, Public Speaking and Presentation Skills and other specialized English programs as assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teaching Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons for extra-curricular ESL programs, such as:
- Cambridge Exam Preparation (Starters, Movers, Flyers).
- Phonics for young learners.
- Public Speaking and Presentation Skills.
- Other specialized English programs as assigned.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and assessments.
- Adapt teaching materials and methodologies to meet students’ needs and learning styles.
- Monitor and assess students’ progress through formative and summative assessments.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and parents on learning progress.
- Maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment that fosters active learning and participation.
- Collaborate with academic and customer care staff to ensure high-quality learning experience for the students.
- Attend training sessions, workshops, and team meetings to enhance teaching quality.
- Complete Daily Report as assigned by the Direct Line Manager.
Academic Administrative Responsibilities:
In addition to teaching duties, full-time teachers will be required to contribute to academic administrative tasks, including but not limited to:
- Teaching Hours Commitment: Ensure a maximum of 24 teaching hours per week.
- Lesson Planning & Resource Development: Create and update teaching materials, lesson plans, and supplementary resources.
- Exam Preparation Support: Assist in organizing and conducting placement tests, mock exams, and student evaluations.
- Academic Program Development: Contribute to the curriculum refinement, course design, and improvement of extra-curricular programs.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in English or TESOL.
- Teaching certificate (TESOL, TKT, CELTA, TEFL, or equivalent).
- Proficiency in English (IELTS 7.0 and above).
- Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience.
- Experience in teaching English to Kindergarten and/ or Primary students at English centers preferred.
- To succeed in this role, essential skills include: English, training, planning, customer care and presentation skills.
