JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Footwear Developer to manage the end-to-end development process. This role involves sending product specifications to factories, coordinating materials, tracking samples, and ensuring all developments meet required timelines and quality standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Product Development
- Prepare and send detailed product specifications (specs) to factories
- Follow up on prototype, sample, and pre-production stages
- Ensure designs are correctly interpreted and executed by factories
- Work closely with design, merchandising, and technical teams
- Trial management
- Track all development samples (proto, SMS, size set, pre-production)
- Review samples and provide clear feedback to factories
- Coordinate revisions and ensure corrections are implemented
- Maintain updated sample status reports
- Material Coordination
- Follow up and track all materials required for development
- Ensure correct materials are used according to specifications
- Coordinate with suppliers and factories on material availability
- Manage material changes and updates during development
- Timeline & Lead Time Control
- Monitor development timelines and ensure deadlines are met
- Track lead times for samples and production readiness
- Identify delays and proactively solve issues
- Ensure on-time delivery of all development stages
- Communication & Coordination
- Act as the key point of contact between internal teams and factories
- Ensure clear and consistent communication of updates and changes
- Align with merchandising and production teams for smooth handover
REQUEST:- Experience in footwear development or related field
- Strong understanding of footwear construction and materials
- Experience working with factories (China, Vietnam preferred)
- Good organizational and follow-up skills
- Pay close attention to detail.
- In terms of skills, candidates need to possess: Business skills, knowledge of risk analysis, Operations management, teamwork, and communication skills.
- To meet the job requirements, knowledge of: Human Resources, Business Development, and Business Management is necessary.
